We just switched to FIOS from Comcast/Xfinity.  On the Comcast channel guide I could highlight, say, TCM and click OK.  I could then page down and see what movies and shows will be on days or weeks in advance.  I could set up the DVR to record them.  Is there a way to do the same thing on FIOS?  Thanks.

Voice Activated Remote

I have two TVs - one is HD but one isn't (I know it's old, but it's a smaller TV in a BR that works fine for the amount of time I use it). Does the new Voice-Activated Remote technology work with a non-HD tv set? If not, is it possible to get the new Voice-Activated Remote technology for the HD but use a conventional remote/box with my non-HD set?

Turning TV on with Fios remote changes receiver input

We have an LG TV, Fios DVR box, and a Denon receiver.  When we turn the TV and STB on with the Fios remote, the receiver switches input off of the cable setting (although it takes 10-15 seconds for it to do so).  Is this a problem with the remote, the STB, or the receiver ?  Any ideas how to fix it ?  Thanks.

Fios TV One remote - favorite channels

The old Fios remote had a favorites button to quickly access only the channels you selected as favorites. The new One remote does not have this button. So, unless, I'm missing something, in order to flip through favorite channels, you would need to:

Press talk button, say favorites, and even then a list comes up but you need to select flip through favorites to see only those channels. And then you need to change it back if you don't always want it set to this option! A two second command now takes several minutes. Very poorly designed--unless there are other options? Are there any solutions? Thank you.

RedZone not working for desktop viewing

Logging into Redzone online and trying to watch through my desktop. When i attempt to log into Redzone through my Verizon Fios, it does not log and seems to be in this "loop" when trying to go through, what i am assuming, is the southeast servers.

 

Any help is appreciated. Anybody else with the same prob? Thanks. 

SyFy Chanell not recording on DVR

This has happened to me twice now in the past 2 weeks.  I have the show KillJoys on the SyFy Chanell set up as a series recording.  No problems until 2 weeks ago.   The problem is that the show appears to have recorded, but there's no video or sound.  Although every now and then a commerical plays just fine. I also tried playing this recording using Fios TV on my iPad, but same results. All other recordings including series recordings are working just fine.

 

Any suggestions?

Eagles Game Broadcast in Spanish

Last night's Eagles game was broadcast in Spanish on my TV.  Every other channel was broadcast in English.  The ads were broadcast in English.  The English speaking commentators were translated to Spanish.   I noticed that there was a similar post in 2017 with the same characteristics.

How could this happen?


vios turns off and reloads on all channels

Fios turns off four or five times a day with a display, no time information, no signal. It will then reboots and the program will return.  This happens on all channels. How can this be corrected?

Is there a way to extend the Bluetooth range on Fios TV one mini? The remote does not work consistently in our family room, and the mini is about 100 feet away.

roku activation with espn not working / keeps spinning

Brand New Samsung UHD/ Fios Handhsake Flashing

Hello Everyone, just purchased a brand new 65 Samsung 4K UHD and have an Arris VMS1100 cable box. The screen flashes on and off like it’s a handshake issue every 5 seconds or so. Is there some sort of setting I’m missing or is set up incorrectly on the box, tv? Cannot find anything but knew years ago Samsung has handshake issues with Verizon. Have an newer HDMI directly from cable box to TV so no 3rd party hand off from audio. Thanks for the help.

On Demand disabled

I have had Fios for 2 days and have no On Demand. The message on the TV says On Demand is currently disabled and to call 1-800-VERIZON

I am being told by the chat reps in Southern India that there is an outage that has to be  "dealt with by engineers at the central location".  I am located in Wellesley MA. Does anyone else have this problem?

Printing Channels does work

I called support.  Even they could not get the link to print my subscribed channels to work.  The rep is mailing me a list.   I asked him to report this problem.  Not sure if it will be done. 

The web link hasn't worked in the 3 plus years I've had Verizon FIOS.   In general, I consider FIOS web site to be among the worst  I've ever used.  Even the Report A Problem Link isn't working.  

Sometimes, I think I should have stayed with Cox.  Will consider when my contract is up next April.

I have verizon fios tv package that includes BTN.  When i go to foxsports.com and log in with my verizon fios id and password, it tells me BTN is not included in my services.

Any thoughts?

Why can I no longer watch movies on the Networks like FX, TNT..etc.etc.. The only option is to bookmark or watch the trailer. What the heck.

I am wondering if anyone can help. I spoke to 4 technical support reps and no one had a clue. The last rep was so ignorant and combative I am thinking about filing a complaint. Regardless if anyone has any ideas or knows how I can contact an engineer instead of normal tech support please let me know. I am a network engineer myself so my knowledge on this matter is above anyone who even tries to help. 

 

TV Everywhere is a feature that verizon provides that allows you to use your verizon login credentials or sub accounts and log in on any supported TV app, TV website like http://www.mtv.com/live-tv , etc. When you are logged in on your home network no username or password is required and you can use any of these partner sites/apps to watch TV. But this feature is linked to your currently subscribed features, so obviously it only works on these sites/apps that your subscription allows. If another Fios customer is at my house and wants to login to these same apps/sites and view their subscribed to channels they can not because Fios Home Authentication automatically logs the current resident in instead of a showing the verizon username and password box. If someone is off Fios network like say on their phone then everything works as it should and the verizon login box shows up. This Home Authentication feature is supposed to have a way to turn it off by creating a sub account and applying TV Online parent controls to it. But it does not work. This is listed in Fios support articles. No one has been able to help me. I was on with premium support and he was the only one who had a clue but he didn't know of a way to turn Home Authentication off. Fios competitors such as Xfinity have the feature built into the account and allows you to turn it off easily.

This is infuriating.  I set up favorites 1 and 2, then FIOS asks me to save the settings to "the cloud" .  I save it and when I go back to the remote and press the remote for "favorites" a message says that I have none!.  This problem started a few weeks ago so I can't be alone with it.  Why can't Verizon get a simple thing like this to work the way it is supposed to.  If you can't get it to work, why have it at all???

I used to get the full guide by pressing blue guide button on remote and got the channel small guide in middle of screen by pressing the up white arrow. I like that small guide, but can't get it.
