Accessing HGTV/TNT/CNN on Roku TV

I have Verizon FIOS.  When I try to activate my Roku TV for any channel (i.e., CNN/HGTV/MSNBC), it wont activate.  Is this a known error?  


Aspect Ratio Suddenly changed?

HD STB DVR suddenly displays stretched screen or 4:3 during broadcasts.  When going to STB settings, will not allow TV to set as a 16:9 screen.  TV settings set correct. Obvioulsy is a widescreen TV and had been functioning with no issues.  On Netflix via AppleTV input, widescreen is fine.

I recently purchased an iBirdie 4K Fiber Optic HDMI Cable in 50 Feet, (HDMI 2.0 18Gbps, Supports 4K 60hz(4 4 4, Dolby Vision, HDR10, E-ARC, HDCP2.2) 1440p 144hz, One-Way Work) to run from the media closet to the home theater TV.  The TV is a Samsung Q80.  After running the wire (which I failed to test before running through the ceiling and walls, classic amateur mistake) and could not get any picture whatsoever, no menu screen, nothing.  I tried the wire in both directions as well.  I figured I damaged the wire when running it through the beams.  After buying a new Wire (and enlarging the holes through the beams), I tested the new wire, and still, unable to get any picture whatsoever.  And ideas?

Editing show start and end times - need a new choice

Ok so there is a conflict again,.... and again, i can't shorten the recording time on a show. 

One show runs 8-9:01p.  That 1 minute ruins 2 shows that are recording at 9 to 10pm.

So i want to end that 8pm show at 9pm instead of 901pm.  So i click edit and find out i can only add time. I dont want to add time.  So then i find another show and i figure i can just have that start later , like at 902pm.  So nope, cant do that either.  You can only start it earlier.  So this doesnt suit my needs. Please add the reduction in time to edit function. I asked for this a long time ago.

Fixed Volume remains on screen

I'm having a issue with one of my Mini Set Top FIOS TV One  Box. When I turn the TV on the Fixed Volume remains in the top right corner until I press Channel UP/DOWN or another channel. Once I go to another channel it disappears. Have restarted the box, disconnected the power, cable etc. Anyone else experience this issue?

Issue with connecting Firestick, log in page keeps reloading

I’ve been trying to connect my Fios account as a TV provider on my apps on my Amazon firestick. When it asks me to choose a provider, I click on Verizon and it brings me to a page where it says please wait we are verifying your accounts and it keeps reloading the page with the same message. There is no where to input my information nor have I ever logged into anything using my Fios account so I don’t know why it’s giving me that message. I tried to click on other providers and it brings me to a login page automatically so I’m confused as to why Verizon isn’t working. I have reached out to Amazon support and they are no help. So I’m reaching out here for some help.

ESPN/ESPN2 Not In Guide

I have ESPN & ESPN2 in my package and I can tune to the channels, but neither one is showing up in my guide when I filter it to "subscribed channels."  When I do "all channels" they are shown in the guide.

Adding ACC Network to Favorites

I get the ACC Network channel 829 and can watch it. For some reason it will not let me add it to Favorites on set top box. On the app I can add it to my favorites in the channel guide. But not on tv. Why??

How do I access my smart tv apps using Fios TV One remote?

I just received my upgraded Fios tv one boxes. I must say I’m very happy with them. Picture seems sharper for sure. Very happy. 

 

One question though, using the included Fios tv One remote, is there a way to access the Smart Tv’s apps? I have a Sony 900F. I know how to get the Verizon widgets, I’m talking about the TV’s internal apps like Amazon Prime..etc. Thanks!

The Arris Set top box has a problem working through the AV receiver. Verizon tech support don’t know how to assist in this case.

 

The STB identifies 720p as the resolution and then if switched off cannot output any image through the receiver. When connected directly to the TV it still does not show a signal. It’s at this point not getting the handshake or the resolution has gone wrong. 

 

If if I keep the STB on then the system works powering the receiver and Tv off and back on but it then goes to 480p.

 

is there a way to access a service menu? Is there a way to fix the receiver to stop the repeated resolution changes and speed up the handshake. 

 

Unavailable Channels

I have 3 channels that have displayed Unavailable for the last few months.  Before that these had channels had no problems.  Also get various channels that pixilate occasionly (only non HD channels).

I have a quick question, but first let me briefly describe my setup.

 

-Wireless router is on the 1st floor.

-One of the upstairs bedrooms has a PS4, so I put an extender in that room so the PS4 can connect via ethernet cable.

-The master bedroom is at the other end of the 2nd floor and has a wireless mini box, but it constantly freezes because its connected to the extender.  When I unplug the extender, it connects to the main router and works perfectly.

 

So my question is this: if I leave the extender running, can I manually select the main router as the signal the box connects to?

After my recent move, I was “upgraded” to the new wireless mini set-top boxes.  After installation, I noticed they had hooked up my 57” tv using RCA cables.  When I went to fix the problem, I realized the new boxes don’t have composite cable outputs.  Since my TV doesn’t have an HDMI input, the only way to watch TV with the new box is to use the RCA cables and watch in non-hi-def resolution.  Does anyone know a work around for this?  I’ve called Verizon numerous times (and spent forever on hold), but haven’t gotten a solution yet.

fios tv guide messed up

For past 2 or 3 days have had trouble with tv guide.   Can put in channel 2 but on the guide it shows channel 490.  Also guide does not show current shows, etc. Cannot record shows on dvr because channel guide is all messed up.  How do I fix this.  This is only on one tv.
