Verizon ruined our Holiday

I am writing this note in response to Verizon's unprofessional behavior related to our getting a new HD TV and trying to get Verizon's overpriced service for the HD Set Top box to work with our unit. I hate their HD Set Top box with it's no-display panel unlike the Standard one that would show the channel and the time; very cheap. Secondly, we had to drive a half hour to get the stupid HD box, only to find the next day that it would not load the packages. A helpful technician, Mike, assisted us and said we needed a new box but due to the New Years holiday, this would not happen until days later. The Verizon store where we got the unit refused to exchange the box saying they were a “store” and we had to contact a Service Center. What?? Mike, however, said he would deliver us a box. The toll and frustration this has taken on my elderly parents and myself is unforgivable. My Mom is in tears and I'm ready to explode. Thanks a lot Verizon. I hope your profits decline sharply; Happy New Year...
