Is anyone else having this problem? An "engineering" problem (Verizon has been very vague about this - something about upgrading a box) is preventing my installation for more than a month!
Here's my story: I've been a Verizon customer for more than 4 years and have recently moved. I decided to "move with verizon" because I though it would be hassle free and it was either verizon or comcast (and I think verizon offers a superior product). It has been anything but hassle free. I scheduled my transfer date for June 14th and on June 13th at 8pm I received a call that there was an engineering issue and the install would have to be pushed out 2+ weeks. I spent hours on the phone trying to get an explanation of the issue and getting my installation moved up as a priority. Then my installation date was rescheduled for June 26th, but I was just called saying it has to be pushed out to July 9th. If they actually stick with this date, it will be almost a month of no tv or internet service.
At what point should I say forget it and switch to comcast? And if I do stick it out until July 9th - what type of concessions/compensation should seek from verizon?
Let me know if you had this problem and how you get it resolved. Thanks.
