Bypass "Initial download in progress, it takes about a minute" screen?

I have a CHS 435HDC.  I am doing some remodeling and have temporarily moved/disconnected my DVR and TV. 

Can I watch content I previously recorded? 

I cannot get past the "Initial download in progress, it takes about a minute" screen.
