Quantum - How to pause live TV and change rooms with two servers.

I have two new quantum servers and no clients ( I wanted the extra space ). I have one in the master bedroom and the other in the family room. When I'm in the bedroom I can watch live or recorded shows on the box in the bedroom room or watch recorded shows residing on the box in the family room and vice versa.

The question is how can I pause live TV on the family room and then resume it up in the bedroom? The only way I've been able to do it is if I record the show downstairs and then watch the show in the bedroom by playing the currently recording show on the family room server using the DVR functionality but there doesn't seem to be any seamless way that resembles the way its advertized using a set top box client and a server.

Along those same lines, if I had a TV in the basement that only had the set top box client and if I was watching a show while connected to the family room server and I wanted to pause live TV and resume watching in the bedroom it also appears that I would have to record the show on the family room server so that it could be viewed in the bedroom.

One issue with this is that you cannot record a show beyond the time it is scheduled to end even if you are still behind and watching it in the buffer. For example, once the Phillies post game show comes on at 10:00pm, even if I'm behind and only up to 9:30pm, I cannot record what's in the buffer ( 9:00pm to 10:00pm ). This limits how far behind you can be and still be able to switch TVs as you might now be able to record what you are watching.

I have searched the internet up and down but haven't been able to find any information about how exactly the pause live TV works. Does anyone have information about this or are those who have two servers living the way I've described?
